Kampung Boy in the City

I was just going through my night market like usual
And there it was

Sugar Cane Stick

I know everyone drink sugar cane
And everyone know its normal to have them
But I found it rather profound
That it was there in the middle of my sub urban area

I resistant to buy it at first
Maybe because the price is quite expensive
But alas . I bought it
I munch it like I used to do it when I was young
When I used to dream
When life was simple

When I was just a Kampung Boy
I feel Like I am still a Kampung Boy

And I would like to shout out now
